Here we are painting a clay paint directly on a drywall ceiling. Because the ceiling already had a latex paint on it, we first applied a base coat of flour paste and sand on to provide some texture.
Here is the same ceiling and room when it was finished. The room has an earthen plaster and earthen floor as well.
This is a cob wall that has been painted upon with a mixture of water and pigment. The color easily soaks into the cob, making it durable and beautiful.
